Water service to be interrupted in Bemiston

Some Bemiston residents will be experiencing interrupted water service while three fire hydrants are being replaced, according to a press release from the Talladega Water and Sewer Department.

The work will be done between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24. The areas affected will be between Williams Street and Wells Ave. to Alexander Street and Wells Ave., Alexander Street to East Parkway, Alexander Street and Alvin Street to Wells Ave., Alvin Street and Talladega Ave. to Williams Street to Wells Ave., according to the release.

“Water service will be restored as quickly as possible,” the release says. “If the weather becomes dangerous for our employees, the work will be rescheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience our customers may encounter,” according to the release. “If we can be of assistance, please call the service center at 256-362-6211 or the main office at 256-362-4439.”Ê
