Munford's Carter Drugs closing Thursday
by Shane Dunaway
The Munford Town Council announced during its meeting Tuesday that Carter’s Drugs, a fixture in the town for more than 10 years, will close Thursday.

The store, owned by Anniston resident Jennifer Carter, was bought out by Rite-Aid and it will be relocated, according to Mayor David Dabbs.

“You probably won’t really miss it until it’s gone,” Dabbs said. “It was great for when you wanted something quick, you just drive there. I’d do it a lot, too, and try to support (the store) as much as I can. I just hate to see it go. Maybe one day we’ll get another one.”
