Farmer named Digital Media Manager
Kenny Farmer has been named Digital Media Manager of The Daily Home, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Ed Fowler, editor and publisher of the newspaper.

“This important job will put one person in charge of our digital media efforts. From updating stories to as quickly as possible to handling our Twitter feeds and Facebook posts, Kenny Farmer will be our go-to person.

“Our entire editorial staff will begin working with Kenny on Monday, and I am convinced his ability and our staff’s talent will result in a website and a digital presence that is lively, interactive and fun to read,” Fowler said.

Farmer is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a degree in communications along with a minor in English. He has worked at The Daily Home since 2009 where he was a Talladega County beat reporter and special projects editor.

He spent four years working in radio at 960 WERC as a producer and co-host for various shows, including the Herb Winches Show. He also worked in radio in Gadsden and Oxford.

“I am thrilled to be chosen for this position and hope to make a huge impact on the way we deliver information to our audience. I am very fortunate to work for such a great company and alongside such talented people,” Farmer said.

Farmer and his wife Breanna have been married since 2005, and they have a 3-year-old son, Will.
