B.B. Comer beat Horseshoe Bend 10-5.

Brandon Knox got the win on the mound for 6 1/3 innings of work, striking out five batters and three runs. Zach Osbourn pitched 2/3 of an inning, entering the game with the bases loaded. Osbourn allowed two runs, but closed out Horseshoe Bend to earn the save.

Knox also had a hit and an RBI at the plate.

Triston Sims had a strong performance at the plate, finishing the game with two hits, two runs, and an RBI. Caleb Duffee also had two runs, two hits, and an RBI. Tyler Holmes had one run, one hit, and two RBIs. Tyler Jackson had two hits and two runs. Cory Harris finished with two hits, two RBIs and a run scored. Dustin Sumners had one hit, one run, and two RBIs. Zach Osbourn had two hits and an RBI. Kendrick Kirksey finished with one hit, one run scored, and one RBI.

They play at Central Coosa this afternoon with a doubleheader must-win to keep their playoff hopes alive with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.

They will host area foe Thorsby on Thursday with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.



The Fayetteville Lady Wolves used a strong defensive performance to defeat Isabella 9-2. Third baseman Brittany Snyder had converted all 11 putout opportunities.

Lauren Guy got the win in the pitcher’s circle for her complete-game performance allowing two runs and only giving up three walks.

Guy also went two for three at the plate.

Hailey Haynes went three for four with two RBIs. Courtney DeLoach went two for four at the plate. Haydn Hughes and Brittany Snyder had singles.

The JV team also notched a victory, 5-3.

Mackenzie Pennington got the win for five innings of work. She also had a single at the plate. Graysn Hughes and Shelby Skinner also had singles.

The Varsity team moved to 4-10 on the season, while the JV team is 4-4.

The Lady Wolves host Comer this afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Freddie Edwards, pastor at Sanctuary, will throw out the honorary first pitch.


The Childersburg Lady Tigers defeated Lincoln 8-3, fueled by a strong pitching performance by Chelsea Mowery. Mowery earned the win in the pitcher’s circle while striking out five batters.

Raven Garrett went one for three with a home run. Tariah Reynolds was one for one at the plate. Tiffany Martin went one for three with two RBIs. Marisa Ward finished the game two for three with two RBIs.

The win moved the team to an overall record of 18-11.



Munford trailed Lincoln heading into the bottom of the sixth inning 4-1, but the offense was able to regain the lead in the inning to propel the team to a 5-4 victory.

Ethan Jackson earned the win on the mound for a complete game performance, allowing four runs while striking out five batters.

At the plate, Brett Haynie went two for three with two runs scored. Clay Upchurch was two for two with a walk, one run scored and four RBIs.


The Fayetteville Wolves clinched the area with a 15-13 win over Shades Mountain Christian on Monday.

Zach McGrady had four hits, a walk, scored four runs and drove in two RBIs.

Slade Scroggins record two hits, he scored two runs and drove in two RBIs. Levi Blanchard went 2-3 from the plate and drove in four RBIs which included a two run homerun.

Steve Brashear went had two hits and a RBI.

Ausitn Brasher hit a solo homerun.

Tyler Pennington and Weston Brasell recorded a hit and a RBI.

Zane McGrady earned the win. He struck out five and allowed a hit in pitched 2 2/3 innings of work off the mound.

Austin Brashear earned the save.
