“We want to make aviation more accessible and affordable to everyone, whatever their aircraft needs are,” said Steven Allen, CEO of Premier Group Inc.
Allen said he grew up in the aviation business from day one.
“My father, Steve Allen, founded Premier Group in 1976,” he said. “Right out of high school, I was working for Premier Group and attending college. I took over full-time as president in 2005.”
Allen said when he took over as president, his whole goal was to expand to a larger market, with larger aircraft and international business.
“Premier Group has always been in the sales, acquisitions and brokerage of aircraft,” he said. “We deal with aircraft from single-engine piston to twin turbine all the way through light, mid, large and x-large aircraft. We do it all—we are a one-stop jet shop.”
Allen said Premier Group is growing.
“Barry Lambert, COO and director of Aircraft Sales and Acquisitions, joined in 2010 and does a lot of the research, sales and acquisitions,” he said. “Ryan Waguespack recently came on board to handle the merger and partnership with Corporate Flight Management.”
Allen said the partnership with Corporate Flight Management out of the Nashville/Smyrna area, will allow both companies to offer charter plane services on demand.
“We want to offer aviation that is affordable for owners,” he said. “The owners can add their plane to our charter program to help offset the cost of aircraft ownership. Our crews would operate the plane, and we can do all maintenance in-house. If you need it, you call us and we give you the hourly rate and take care of everything. All you have to do is show up.”
Allen said they want to offer flights from cities including Nashville, Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, Destin, Pensacola and the panhandle and add more as feasible.
“We also hope to offer individual seat charters in the future, and branch out to other services as well as the business grows,” he said.
