EF-1 Tornado Rips Through Mobile, Prichard, Gulf Coast Area

An EF-1 Tornado rips a six mile path through Mobile Alabama early Thursday morning December 20, 2012 with over 100 homes suffering storm damage from the destructive winds from the Tornado.

The EF-1 Tornado made its way through Mobile between 5AM-6AM Thursday morning ripping a path and then headed in a northerly direction toward Bay Minette Alabama.

At least a total of thirty five local businesses located in the Mobile and Prichard area also received storm damage from the destructive Tornado that ripped through the gulf coast area.

The Mobile Fire Rescue Department and the Mobile Police Department were kept busy making emergency calls to local residents, businesses, and traffic intersections for emergency assistance.

The EF-1 Tornado blew through quickly and left quickly leaving the Gulf Coast Area by 12:00 noon with a clear sky and a cool breeze with the temperature dropping to a low in the 40s Thursday night.
