Subject: Tornado Relief
This email is being sent to those associated with the Childersburg High School Baseball Program, but please feel free to forward to others interested in helping...
The city of Holt, near Tuscaloosa, was one of the hardest hit areas during the outbreak of tornados last week. Brittnie Stubblefield (Dosson's sister) is a student in Tuscaloosa and witnessed the devastation in Holt and Tuscaloosa first hand with her mother this week. They, like many others, want to help those victims.
We are asking each of you to consider donating items to specifically help meet the needs of those affected in the Holt area. The Stubblefield family has graciously offered their home as a collection point for these items and Jill and Brittnie will coordinate the delivery of the collected items to Holt later this week. If you wish to participate, please bring your items to the Stubblefield's home on Odell Avenue (behind Burger King) in Childersburg. Her house is the 5th house on the left on Odell Avenue and is directly behind Coach Logan's house.
Items need to be delivered to the Stubblefield's no later than 10:00 am on Wednesday so that they can deliver the items ASAP. Items needed are gatorade and bottled water, non-perishable food items, flash lights and batteries, clothing, hats, baby food, diapers, blankets, towels, bibles, garbage bags, storage containers and toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, combs, shampoo and soap.
If you have any questions or need specific directions to the Stubblefield's, please call me at 205-835-3661, Coach Logan at 205-369-8831 or Jill Stubblefield at 256-223-1022.
Thanks for any help you can give!
