Welcome to the Daily Home Online, a service of The Daily Home. If you're not familiar with the area, The Daily Home is a daily newspaper in east central Alabama - about 45 miles east of Birmingham.
The paper was originally a weekly, begun in 1867, and called Our Mountain Home. When daily publication began in 1909, the name was changed to the Talladega Daily Home.
The newspaper was purchased by Consolidated Publishing in 1965. The name was changed to Daily Home and an office in Sylacauga was opened as coverage expanded to include all of Talladega County. In 1980 an office was also opened in Pell City as the coverage area grew to include part of St. Clair County.
We are proud to carry news from our area into cyberspace and we hope you enjoy our site.
